Description |
Hotel Cominos, which shows up in many of Steinbeck's writings. The hotel opened as the Abbott House in 1873, then became the Hotel Cominos in 1919. It hosted three presidents, every California Governor through Pat Brown, and innumerable dignitaries and famous folk. It became increasingly derelict from the 1970s, and was torn down in Oct. of 1989. |
