Mrs. Kennedy, family, [illegible] officials, statesmen of 52 nations, the military and friends escorted Kennedy to his last rest. An eternal flame was light by Mrs. K. A 21 gun salute, the national anthem, a prayer and [presentation?] of the flag that covered the coffin to Mrs. K. and know a loving salute:
The statesmen of 52 countries are meeting in the White House. Never before on earth have so many eminent people gathered in one [room?]. The last rays of the sun [two words illegible] the grounds. The White House Gate closes. Mrs. K’s last meeting in the [chapter?] will not take place.
On [two words illegible] passed – how can I show my gratitude? [two words illegible] and adoration of my duties to present life.
