Thsi brief but dramatic animated film presents the basic, general
ecological fact for what man is doing to the planet and himself.
Fleas on a rat symoblize man on this earth,
*THE EIGHTH DAY-Charles F. Gagnon
The objective of this film is the actual history of man in the
20th Century--when he has a great potential for creativity, he turns
this to conformity, waste and destructiveness.
*IT'S IN THE AIR-Missionary Lights
This mixed-media presentation deals with our ecologically wasted
environment.
*LET A THOUSAND PARKS BLOOM-Lenny Lipton
This film is an explanation of People's Park in Berkeley and is a
plea for parks in urban areas.
*RAINSHOWER-Dimension Films
The sights and sounds, the colors, textures, rhythms and moods
of rain are captured in this film.
*STREAM-Communica
As a businessman's new model boat floats down a secluded stream in the
country, it encounters various sources of pollution that eventually
totally defiles it. The businessman, at the same time, thoughtlessly
defiles nature.
*RABBIT HUNT-John Newton
Hunters invade a quiet place and disrupt it by their "technological
marvelsTT-a truck, a snowmobile, the blast of a gun. Suggested by the
poem Hunting A Hare by Vosnezensky.
*WARNING-WARNING-Harvey Richards
This film reveals the inter-relationship of the problems involved
in protecting bay-river systems in populated areas. It suggests where
to take hold of the tangled issues, to remedy past abuses and prevent
future violations of our natural environment.
*SAVE THE BAY-David Best
A few of the realities that surround a still pressing issue are
presented. An ecologist briefly sums up problem of San Francisco
Bay and need for immediate attention if the Bay is to continue to
"live11.
BUMP CITY-Patrick O'Neill
A modern city (in this case, Los Angeles) is broken down into its
components, the media that make it go. This film then stressen how these
media all end up as "garbage" which is unresolved.
CHRISALIS-David Best
This film relates a story of man's blindness and impatience as he
interrupts a process of natural evolution.
LEAVES OF GRASS, CONTINUED-John Bigby
Lines from Whitman's poetry and from ''Democratic Vistas" are set
against visual evidence of 20th century industrial America.
PERILS OF PRICILLA-Dimension Films
The problems of meeting the needs of food, warmth and a place to rest
are seen through the eyes of a cat lost in a large city.
DDT-KNOWING IT SURVIVES US-Steve Rosen
The film deals with various aspects of DDT.

The objective of this film is to create a poetic juxtaposition of
constructive and destructive (nuclear blasts), and neutral (the
girl smoking) stands in life, and to cause the viewer to think about
his relationship whith these things because of the changing contexts.

Nature and pollution are dealt with in this film.

This film is a hand illustrated animated story of pink smog.
RUST-Lawrence Booth
The process of rusting in nature and the problems of garbage
and waste are shown in this film.
DIHEDRON-Terry Hayes
The film compares and contrasts the extremes of the similar
and different worlds of "man music". Nature, a little technology and
a nude girl are also part of the film.
