CARL SULLIVAN
Tight End
6-5, 237, SR, 1V
San Francisco, CA
Administration of Justice Major
One of the biggest targets available for Spartan quarterbacks this
season, Carl is the starting tight end going into fall drills. A reserve a
year ago, Sullivan was used in double tight end situations and on special
teams. Increasing his playing time as the 1982 season progressed, he finished with 7 receptions for 97 yards and 2 TD's. His first collegiate reception was a 42 yard touchdown pass in the 38-15 triumph over Cal State-
Fullerton. Extremely difficult to tackle once he catches the ball, Carl has
clocked a 4.8 in the 40 in early spring drills. A transfer from San Francisco
City College (Coach George Rush), Sullivan was an All-Golden Gate Conference and all-state selection. At the prep level, he lettered in football at Abraham Lincoln High School (Coach Ray Greggins) in San Francisco.
He was born on April 30, 1962.
