Since "Independence": 30 YEARS OF REPRESSION,
30 YEARS OF RESISTANCE ! DEMONSTRATE !!
DEMANDS: (1) Revoke the "National Emergency" and repressive
laws such as the "Maintenance of Internal Security
Act" and "Defence of India Rules".
(2) Release all political prisoners, including over 25,000 detained
without trial since 1969.
(3) Cease all political executions and torture in prisons.
(4) Defend civil liberties for all, freedom of press, and the right
to oppose the present government and demand better living
conditions.
(5) Stop forced sterilisation of the poor.
(6) End all surveillance and intimidation of concerned Indian community and students abroad.
