DEMONSTRATE!!
DEMANDS: (1) Imnediate revocation of the "National Emergency" promulgated
on June 26, 1975 as well as the "state of emergency" in effect
before that date through the "Preventive Detention Act",
"Defence of India Rules" and "Maintenance of Internal Security
Act".
(2) Immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners
arrested since June 26, 1975 as well as over 30,000 political
prisoners detained without trial during the last several years.
(3) Imnediate cessation of all political executions and torture in
prisons.
(4) Immediate restoration of judicial processes, freedom of press,
and all democratic rights to the Indian people including the
right to oppose the present government and agitate for better
living conditions.
(5) Imnediate cessation of surveillance and intimidation of con-
cerned Indian community and students abroad.
