Dear Brother
I have but a few
moments to write you by Mr. Roschon
I understand by Stetson that you have
very sick and am happy to hear of your
entire recovery. And next to this I am
happy to learn that Mr. Green was
pleased with you management of business
during his absence for I feared your
attentions to the ladies interfered with
your duties. We have engaged good
health and my business has not failed
to furnish the Bread and Butter. Old Toler
and Daughter escued here and have taken
Rooms in John Salwens house at $20 for
month. I have sold the sorrel horse and
my black cow to Ruchon if he can find them
He has a horse here which he has sold me also
Write every oportunity
Your Brother
John Townsend
