Photograph of an engraving. Charles Fayette "Mac" McGlashan (1847-1931) was a well-liked and respected renaissance man who is credited with being a writer, editor, scientist, lawyer, inventor, legislator and amateur entomologist. Among many accomplishments, he is most known for his well-researched book, The History of the Donner Party, and also for inventing a means of communicating with moving trains. |
